guilhordas
for me the best clean on pod is tweed b man brt with 4x12 highway and 421 dynamic, i think ac vox 30 very thin with the standard parameter
guilhordas
this is a very small audio example of what I get from the AC-30 model with its default cab miked with a 87 condenser mic https://soundcloud.com/hurghanico/ac-30-tone-test at the beginning starts a chords progression played with a LP Junior (P90 pickup) model, placed slightly on the left side.. then I added a solo/melody with a LP Standard placed slightly on the right side, there is a Tube Screamer, and after the amp an analog delay with mod, reverb.. to me it sounds quite fat and warm.. cab resonance is at zero.. amp standard controls are all at noon except Cut and Channel Volume at 100 and Presence at zero, (Treble could work good also up to about 60 to get a more bright and slightly nasal tone).. tube screamer: all defaults, except output at 50.. all default settings for the analog delay/mod and reverb very nice tone, but i think that vox(default parameters) direct to the pa sounds very different, at leats for me
bjnette
Recently I moved into a Unit and am using some Edirol Micro powered speakers after using Rokit G2 6' and the sound is noticeably thinner. I have treated the room with bass traps and broadband absorbers. and the bottom end is tubby. I have also used head phones as well lately ) and these are tubby sounding too. Hardly ever needed anything else past 10 years. Mentioning as it could be your monitoring?
dhewer
Here is my attempt Check it out http://line6.com/customtone/tone/2494767/ The POD is studio out L & R into a mixer with some good monitors in my studio. Note - on the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices in (Mac OS X 10) System Preferences in the Inputs & Recording tab, I am running about -3.0 dB, for the record sends. I guess that is a somewhat pad? Let me know what you think
