How to have full control of effects without FBV floorboard (Midi not applicable)

This post is for Firehawk 1500 owners who were interested in having control of their amp sims & effects without a FBV floorboard.

If you purchased this amp in good faith (as I did) to take advantage of all the midi CC# control stated in pilots guide you may or may not be aware that line6 will not be not implementing  anything more than just midi program changes. As a very disappointed Firehawk 1500 owner I can tell you how to get control of your amp.

 

First thing you will need to do is to open the remote app and disable Line6 Amp Sims & Effects (none of these blocks can be controlled by midi) now enable the FX loop, you will only need to adjust the return volume in the app.

 

Next take your old trusty multi-effect pedal I am using BOSS GT-10, (which has proper midi functionality) all you have to do is plug your guitar into the input of your multi-effect pedal and connect the outputs of your multi-effect pedal into the Firehawk effects return and now you have full control of amp sims & effects, plus you won't have to pay more money for the fbv floorboard pedal,
