  1. There is a easy way to boost your guitar singal going into the main amp. All you need to do is use 2 patch leads from the 'Effects out' into 'Effects in' and you can also punch in the 'line' or 'Effects' button for more gain
  2. This post is for Firehawk 1500 owners who were interested in having control of their amp sims & effects without a FBV floorboard. If you purchased this amp in good faith (as I did) to take advantage of all the midi CC# control stated in pilots guide you may or may not be aware that line6 will not be not implementing anything more than just midi program changes. As a very disappointed Firehawk 1500 owner I can tell you how to get control of your amp. First thing you will need to do is to open the remote app and disable Line6 Amp Sims & Effects (none of these blocks can be controlled by midi) now enable the FX loop, you will only need to adjust the return volume in the app. Next take your old trusty multi-effect pedal I am using BOSS GT-10, (which has proper midi functionality) all you have to do is plug your guitar into the input of your multi-effect pedal and connect the outputs of your multi-effect pedal into the Firehawk effects return and now you have full control of amp sims & effects, plus you won't have to pay more money for the fbv floorboard pedal,
  3. Yeah, sorry to say the feedback I have been getting from the Line6 rep here in Australia is not good. This was after he had spoken to Line6 guys at a product launch here recently, he did not come back to me with any good news. He suggested we use Line6 "Ideascale" website to put our case forward about getting midi functions implemented. What a shame we paid all that money to get an amp that was advertised to have all those midi functions, and now we have to spend more of our time and money to try to get Line6 to honour their part of the agreement.
  4. I have been in contact with Line6 over the past months regarding the fact they published in the Firehawk 1500 Pilots Guide that we would have access to 18 MIDI CC's, to externally control the Firehawk 1500 when in fact they have implemented (and don't intend to update) only one function, that is program changes. I have been checking the Pilots Guide download every week now and they have not amended it. SO BE AWARE Line6 are not telling you the truth about this product, and they know it
  5. I have been notified by Line6 the only thing you will ever be able to control on your "Very Expensive" Firehawk 1500 via MIDI is change patches. They have no intention of fixing it, it's a case of false advertising "I'm sorry but the Firehawk 1500 midi features will only allow you to change patches. The info in the back of the manual is not correct. I apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks," Will - Line 6 Support Thanks a lot Line6 the sooner you let anyone else who may be intending to by the amp to take advantage of the so-called MIDI CONTROL (like myself) that Line6 does not have the knowledge or the know-how to impliment what most other brands can do without a hitch.

  8. The LINE 6 FIREHAWK 1500 1500W GUITAR AMPLIFIER HAS REALLY NICE SOUNDS. BUT IF YOU WANT TO CONTROL THE AMP VIA MIDI AS LINE6 HAS QUOTED IN THE FIREHAWK 1500 PILOTS GUIDE MIDI IMPLIMENTATION CHART OUT OF THE 18 MIDI CC#s NONE OF THEM ARE SUPPORTED. ALL YOU CAN CHANGE WITH MIDI IS PROGRAM CHANGES THATS ALL
  9. Thanks Phil_M, I hope you are right, all us Firehawk user would like is some word from Line6 wheather or not an update is a option. After all it is stated in Pilots Guide in black and white 13. Midi In/ Out/ Thru - connect midi devices to control Firehawk 1500 on Midi channel 1. See Midi implementation chart for details You and I could speculate over this for months all we want to know is line6 going to fix this problem going forward
  10. Hey Phil_M, This is Will of Line6 Support reply. I can take this reply only one way Hi,I'm sorry but the Firehawk 1500 midi features will only allow you to change patches. The info in the back of the manual is not correct. I apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks,Will - Line 6 Support

  12. Yeah Full Midi Control Is not an option at this time, the Pilots Guide gives a list of midi CC# but none work. The only midi control that does work are program changes all the other options that are listed are not supported. I hope Line6 will be able to address this very soon. It would be nice if Line6 would acknowledge this fact and keep us owners of the Firehawk 1500 what they plan to do about fixing the problem, becuase I paid a lot of money to have midi control of my new and "very expensive amplifier"
  13. Has anyone had any luck controlling the FH1500 Control Changes via Midi In eg: FS1 or EXP-1. I have tried using my GR-55 and FC-300 not having much luck, does anyone have any clues why nothing seems to be working as it should???
  14. I have had several midi devices and the standard way to indicate to the user is to have a MIDI IMPLEMENTATION CHART, why have Line 6 not followed this convention for the FH1500. The main reason I ask is that is is obvious that the Midi Control Numbers in the manual do not work, the only midi control I can get to work is the Patch Change. Why can I not control via Midi In: midi CC# 001 - EXP 1 Pedal Assignment 051 - Toggle FS1 Assignment On/Off Does the FH1500 recognise midi sent from other midi devices or does it only send the Midi CC# stated in the Pilots guide
  15. I have had the same problem trying to access midi implementation on the amp via midi in. Patch changes do work but no other midi messages are getting through for some reason. What am I missing here? Hey Line 6 why is it not working.
  16. I have been listening to the difference between stereo effects through the Aux, and the normal guitar input. When I connect a stereo send from another guitar pedal (Digitech RP1000) the stereo effect is very effective and sounds great. On the other hand when using nomal guitar input with internal stereo delays the effect is not even noticeable. I don't know If that is normal or if my amp has a problem with sending sinal in stereo to guitar speakers. Has anyone else noticed the same problem
