G30 PCB embedded in a violin

I use a G30 with my electric violin and it works fine. However, I have to run a hi-z cable from the lower bout of the violin down to my belt to which the G30 is clipped. This makes for an inconvenient cable run which is annoying and looks... well, let's just say not optimal. I removed the PCB from the transmitter pack and installed it directly inside my violin (i intentionally created a space in the design for such things) wired in the Barbera pickup and installed a low-profile battery pack for the two requisite AA batts. Still works fine and now, no unsightly cable!  I asked Line 6 support team if I can purchase just the G30 PCB for use in my line of violins. Nope- they don't sell PCBs to "the public". They suggested I approach any regional authorized repair center. We'll see...  Anyway, anyone else ever dismantle a wireless pack for PCB integration in an instrument for the purpose of eliminating an external cable?
