Pod HD500x recoring routing with Logic

So I have old guitar recordings recorded clean into Logic. Now I want to route that audio out from Logic, into the Pod Hd500x, and back to Logic. (Soundcard Duet by Apogee)

 

1. When I use the speaker output into the POD it make a lot of noice and disturbance. (not feedback)  (Logic output is set to the Duet and input POD via USB, and no output on channel I am recording to.

 

2. If I set output in Logic through USB to the POD I can hear the clean guitar sound on the POD, but non of the PODS FXs affects the sound. 

 

Anyone have an idea of how to do this the best way.
