srmd22
I did a bit of a search, and I am sure the info is out there, but I am not finding it. I am wondering if purchasing the plugin will provide access to additional amps, IR's or effects that I can transfer to my floor unit. It is billed as "stage - studio - stage" so I am guessing you can mirror your set up and sounds on the PC and floor (or rack) unit, but I can't seem to find confirmation. I would love to have a few more IR's, in particular to play with (although planning on buying the Ownhammer pack at some point anyway). Thanks! You can sync your Helix device with the Helix Native plug-in. I own both, but I've never loaded any additional IRs. You can definitely sync your presets. I honestly haven't messed with the plug-in too much, so I'm not sure I've helped you answer your question.
zooey
They're aren't any additional blocks in either native or hardware versions, they've got the same ones. Neither one includes any IRs, just the built-in cabs. Big software feature difference is that snapshots aren't supported in native yet, but I'm sure they will be eventually. I'm not clear on what happens to existing snapshots brought over from hardware if you edit them in native (not a native user yet). I'd suggest research and caution in that regard. srmd22
Very cool. Is there any benefit to purchasing the plugin for recording only, vs. just playing through the Helix? Can the Helix be used as a USB interface for recording (like the Zoom mixers and modeling/efx units)? I should know that

The Helix Floor is the nucleus of my entire system. You can re-amp with the Helix Native plug-in for stuff you have previously recorded. That was still worth the discounted price of $100 no matter how bad I play. :)
