colind
I've given up on waiting for a 'leftie' and so want to buy a JTV-89F James Tyler Variax and play it upside down - I'm used to playing right handed Stratocasters a la Hendrix so I'm not bothered about the controls/plug being upside down/wrong way around. What do I need to do about the electrics? I believe that the leads to the piezo's need to be reversed (swapping high E with low E, B with the A string etc). How exactly is this done on the JTV-89F (I need to give my luthier detailed instructions before he will take on the job)?
Palico
If you follow the Peizeos leads from the bridge they go to individual connections on the circurt board. You should be able to reverse them very easily for lefty operation.
