HX STOMP non-responsive

Hi!

I bought an HX Stomp a few days ago. I plugged it in and had some difficulties installing the drivers and connecting to the device. After some struggle I successfully got the box to work with HX Edit and Line 6 Updater. However, a times the connection drops and I had to restart the device. I thought that a firmware upgrade could fix this so I started Line 6 Updater and tried to upgrade to a newer firmware. The display on the stomp simply said "Updating" and there it stopped. I waiter for an hour because turning things of while updating firmware is scary. After rebooting, the display shows the Line 6 logo and HX Stomp. No progress bar or any firmware version.

I tried to make a factory reset (pressing FS2 and 3 while starting the device) but to no use.

Any suggestions anyone?

/Carl

I finally found a solution :-)

I had tried to enter "update mode" by pushing the page right button while powering up. Since the display remained black I thought that did not work, but when I performed the procedure while having the "Line 6 Updater" running the option of updating the firmware appeared.

The connection was lost during each attempt to update the firmware. Running the updater as administrator allowed me to update the firmware without losing the connection and the device is now working. The connection is still lost every now and then while playing but the device is running at least.
