frozenblizzard5
Hey! I've tried a good couple of times to record from my pod hd300 with using the program Cubase Elements 6. But it wont catch up any sound from my pod300. When I go to devices cubase says that midi out cant be found or is inactive. Though Ive asked a couple of musicians in the city where I live, they say Midi is just a limit for sound. Has anyone else had the same problem as me? please help me out with how you did it Thanks in advance Christian
gunpointmetal
Instead of MIDI, look in Audio Device set-up. If you have all of your drivers installed and you're connected via USB, you should be able to select the POD from a menu to use as your audio device.
frozenblizzard5
hey, ive changed the audio device set-up to pod hd300. still doesnt work, seems I didnt quite understand what you ment? but this is how far ive come, and it still doesnt catch up any sound. (http://imageshack.us/f/17/7z97.png/ ,how it looks like atm) Might make it easier to solve the problem I hope :)
gunpointmetal
try clicking on that little tab that says "control panel" and make sure that you have all the settings in there where you need them, other than that, make sure you're setting an AUDIO track in Cubase (I think you can add an "instrument" track but that's for MIDI. That screen shot is pretty distorted so its hard to see what you've all got going on there.
frozenblizzard5
yeh the picture was a total failure, though it says input 1 and 2 is inactive cant seem to get them activated. As I also click on the control panel it says : ASIO settings default buffer size : 512 and default bit depth : 24bit... buffersize us between medium and small. drivers are operating at 48k hz ; 24bit... inputs&recording it only says 1-2 : main out nothing else. Yes ofcourse i have audio track activated in cubase. Guess the numbers dont help out that much either. What settings are you running with ? Mr_Arkadin
Make sure that Cubase's sampling rate (e.g. 44.1kHz or 48kHz) and bit depth (e.g. 24-bit or 16-bit) match the settings on the HD300. That latency in your picture looks huge at the moment from what I can see.
frozenblizzard5
I've changed the default buffer size to 128 , default bit depth to 16 bit and ToneDirect&USB Audio streaming buffersize between xtra small and medium. Drivers format operation at 48khz;24bit. Its current input latency is : 6.281 ms output 12.562 ms still doesnt catch up any sound. Possibly still too big ms ?
