Willytuk
I'm new to the world of Helix and need help. At the moment I'm using the Stomp into my Boss Nextone amp. So I have a few questions which may be stupid sorry!! How do I get the best of of the sound from the Stomp would it be straight into the front of the amp or poss through the FX loop or is it a case of ditching the amp and using some kind of speaker i.e frfr PA Speaker?? Forgive me I'm new to it. This would only be for indoor use not gigging. I want to be able to poss get the full use of the stomp maybe use both cab and amp sims, also what scenario would the pre amp sims come into play. Cheers for any help. Kilrahi
Well, the BEST way ... according to my always right opinion, is to get a solid FRFR speaker and plug straight into it. Then you can design whatever chain you want and get it to come out as you designed it. For a traditional amp, if it has an FX loop, the best approach is the four cable method. Then you skip amps/cabs on the Stomp (because your traditional amp is filling that role and USUALLY doubling them up doesn't sound great) and effects you want before your amp work, as well as effects after. If you just plug straight in, some effects (often time effects) might not always work well.
Willytuk
Thanks Kilrahi, appreciate the help, any suggestions on good FRFR??

If you're just starting out, my favorite is the Line 6 Powercab. A cheaper but solid option is the Headrush models that just came out.
