JFinster
Hi, sorry if this already has been coveres somewhere else, I wasn´t able to find the required information I am looking for. In 2005 I purchased a toneport ux2 with the included software "gearbox". Over the years I purchased all the available add-ons (gearbox plugin, pod farm 1 + 2, all available amp model and fx packs). 1 year ago I switched from the toneport to a much bigger firewire interface for my homestudio. So, now the toneport more or less acts as a big "activation dongle" for my line6 software, which kinda bothers me. It takes up a lot of (desperately needed) space on my desktop and just collects dust and I decided to sell it, but I want to keep my collected software. So, my question is, is it possible to move all my software (or parts of it) to an ilok and sell the hardware? Or would I really have to buy the Pod Farm Premium Ilok Ed. (which I technically own already)? Any Input appreciated. Thanks and greets
TheRealZap
if you paid for pod farm 2.... pod farm 2.5 is a free upgrade and it's hardware indepedent... you dont need an ilok, you just need to run the line6 license manager (part of monkey) and authorize your computer. if however, you didnt pay pay for pod farm 2 (as in it was included in your toneport) the toneport owns the license and not you. you will however still own any addons... but you would need to buy a seperate pod farm 2.5 license to use them without the toneport. the direct answer to your question though is NO... you cannot move these licenses to an ilok.
