th365thli
Hey guys, I'm trying out Helix Native since I'll have to send my Helix rack in for repair. But I have this weird issue. So you know when you plug in your guitar into the audio interface straight, it'll play a raw signal? Well, when I load the Helix vst onto the track, it works perfectly, except I hear that raw signal mixed in with the vst output, if that makes sense. So if i strum really hard I'll hear the helix sound as well as the raw unprocessed sound. How do I get just the helix sound?
SaschaFranck
Given your description of the issue, I'm pretty sure that your audio interface supports some kind of direct input monitoring and that you have this turned on. Depending on your interface, you may have an analog knob or a software utility to adjust the level of the direct signal. In any case, turn it off. I figured out that Focusrite control had direct monitoring so switched it off to just listen to software/daw playback. Fixed the issue, now it sounds amazing! Thank you!
