Leviathan788 Posted December 30, 2020 Share Posted December 30, 2020 Hi, I've got my Helix LT a few days ago and I've already downloaded some metal and djent-like presets and played around. Now I'm trying to get a modern Death Metal sound out of my Helix. (Something like the main riff of Kataklysm - The Killshot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku-rjJ5HXyU, starting at 0:58). I'm not familiar yet with IRs, that I could use to get such a sound. Does anybody have any recommendations for amp/cap combinations or IRs that I could use to get such a sound? It would be really helpfull for me, if you could get some "starting point" from which I could start creating my own sounds. :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Paulzx Posted January 1, 2021 Share Posted January 1, 2021 Personally, I would check that out on YouTube because there are a few guys on there doing the really heavy distortion tones and they walk you through it. Nick Hill is one I saw recently, he seems really good.
