Davejohno
Hi all, Let me just start by saying that reading the manual for this pedal makes me want to stab myself in the face. I am obviously a moron because it makes zero sense. I don't care about the amp modes and just want to use the pedal like an analogue pedal bank. Ie a distortion pedal, chorus, and delay pedal pluged into my amp. I have a jcm2000 Marshall and am happy with its sound for most songs but would like a heavy metal sound as well as a chorus and the wah wah from the pod. Does anyone know good youtube video of something to show me how to do that before I throw this thing against the wall?
hurghanico
Hi, I don't have the HD400 (but an HD500X) so I don't know exactly how the HD400 works and all the differences with my device, but I'm sure that building a preset with some effects should be pretty easy and intuitive, especially if you use the computer Editor with the device connected via USB. Obviously before using the Editor you need to install the driver and the Editor in your computer, both available in the "download" section of this site, or via the Monkey app. Once the Editor is installed, ready and running, you can see all the models and settings of the current selected preset in the Editor windows , turn off the amp sim (since you don't need it) and choose the effects you want and the settings you like, save the patch where you want in your device. Connect your guitar to the POD and the POD output to your amp input. Turn up the POD volume. That's it! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
Davejohno
Thanks for the reply, I've been looking further into it and have been doing that. I guess I just have to keep playing around with it
