Pod HD Pro X Newbie. Totally need help with routing!

Hi there!

I'm totally new to the multieffects rack world, and recently got a hold of one. I've read the user manual + previous topics and from that went with SPDIF routing. I tried the following:

Device routing = HD Pro X, both SPDIF ports -> Scarlett 8i6, both SPDIF ports -> Scarlett connected to PC. Studio monitors connected to monitor inputs of Scarlett.

Guitar routing = Guitar -> cable -> Input 1 of Scarlett (front side of audio interface).

Open focusrite control program = SPDIF synced at sample rate 44,100 Hz (does not sync at other values) Clock source = SPDIF. Input settings = Line (not Instrument)

HD Pro X in USB mode at the same time, to use HD Pro X Edit.

Result = Focusrite shows signal when strumming on the guitar. All volume knobs up. Neither signal nor sound coming from HD Pro X, Pro X Edit or even DAW (Nuendo 11).

DAW setup = Focusrite ASIO USB selected. When creating an audio track, I tried all the SPDIF inputs on the list. Still no signal/sound.

I'm obviously not doing it correctly, and would very much appreciate help.

the one reported above here is your error..

your guitar must be connected to the POD, not to the Scarlett..

The POD is your guitar signal processor, ie that thing that makes/processes the sound of your guitar as you like.

If you don't connect your guitar to it the POD does just nothing in your reported configuration.
