Niedec
After installing the latest Windows 10 update yesterday (KB5012117), I can't use Helix Native in Reaper. This could be a coincidence, but it's the only thing I can think of that's different from the previous days where it worked. Reaper opens and other plugins work fine, including Bias 2 and Amplitube 5. When I click on Helix Native (either VST2 or VST3), it will load the plugin, but clicking on the plugin to bring up the UI causes both the plugin and Reaper to crash. CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor, 3600 Mhz, 16 Core(s), 32 Logical Processor(s) RAM: 32 GB I've tried uninstalling Helix Native, restarting my computer, and reinstalling Helix Native, but the issue persists. I've also tried uninstalling the Windows update, but Windows automatically installed the update upon rebooting my computer, even after I'd turned "pause updates for 7 days" on. Malwarebytes and Windows Virus & threat protection show no malware or viruses. Any help would be much appreciated. UPDATE: I uninstalled Helix Native, but then also went to C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Roaming\Line 6 and deleted the folder. Afterwards I restarted my PC, reinstalled Helix Native, and that fixed it. 1
ultrazone69
I had the same issue, come to find out that reaper doesn't like having the Helix native vst3 file in it's stock location. There is a readme file in the documents installed with reaper that tell you to install any VST's to user/Username/appdata/roaming/reaper/plugins. I did the same as you and reinstalled reaper, reinstalled native, and nothing worked even if I added the right folder to the reaper vst path. Once I copied the Native VST file to the above folder. It got recognized and works perfect now.
boded
Another problem that can arise - I was set to record and playback at 192kHz. Since Helix Native goes up to 96kHz, it will not load, and closes Reaper.
