Noise when using External Pedal (Digitech Drop)

I apologize if this has been asked and resolved before. I just got the POD Go a few days ago and love it. I want to use my Digitech Drop Pedal. When I run it there is a ton of noise. If I unplug the pedal the noise goes away. I used 4 different adapters and some are better than others, but the noise still persists. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. My chain is:

Guitar—>Drop Pedal—>Pod Go/Guitar Input.

I found the Drop pedal to be much quieter if I hooked it up by using the effects send and return loop on my Line 6 flextone II amp. If I tried to go from guitar to drop pedal then direct into the guitar input jack at the ront of the amp the hissing noise was really bad!! I do not know why this is the case and wish someone would chime in on rhis issue. On the other hand if I plug the Drop pedal into the front of a tube amp without using the effects loop and straight into the guitar input it's nice and queit. I don' t get it. Seems like Line ^ solid state amps do not like the drop pedl being hooked straight into the guitar inpt jack .Way too much hiss. Use the effects loop and it's quiet.
