USB to iOS audio

Howdy y’all,

I’m wondering if anyone has tried recording directly to their iPhone via USB with any success.

I have the adapters for access to the Edit app functions, and thought it would be nice if I could record video of me playing while taking audio directly from the Catalyst. It technically works, but there’s a good deal of crackling and popping sounds in the audio that ultimately make it unusable. I’ve tried different adapters and different USB cables, tried different amp settings. Even tried switching the virtual mics being used.

The only pedal I’m running into this thing is an HX Effects. I get that maybe it’s just not an intended function to go to iOS (works great running through Logic on my Mac), but I’m hoping maybe there’s a solution. Bare minimum if it’s not a user error I hope there’s an update that improves iOS connectivity.

Cheers!
