Best Way To Hook Up To Studio Monitors.

I did a search through the forums and nothing came up on the subject.  I originally had the dream rig system but returned the dt25 amp ( didn't like the limitations but that's another subject).  Mean while I want to get a good monitor I would like to get the L2m but Mackie has some really nice ones for sale through sweetwater for less than half the price.  If I connect my Hd500 to a L2m would I get both left and right signals with the line6 link cable. Cause some of my patches are in stereo ( I don't need the stereo separation just the signal from both channels).  If I go with the mackie it would connect with the Xlr cable ( which I don't think carries both signals so I would need 2 or them to get both channels across).  I am not sure if I am correct on any of this..

I guess I should have just looked up the manuals for the L2m cause in that it states by default it uses both left and right channels when using a single speaker Via line6 link. if you use 2 it splits it but at 3 the second speaker has both left and right channels but the other 2 are split.  now I just have to find out if a single mackie would get both channels via XLR cable..

no... XLR is only mono analogue... L6LINK is digital stereo (among other things,.)
