PG Firmware Update loop

I just got a brand new POD Go. I fired up PG Edit on my Mac and it wanted to update firmware to 1.40... I did that, then factory reset the unit as directed. When I start PG edit on my Mac, it asks to update the firmware every time (to 1.40). I installed PG edit on a Windows computer, and same thing. The PG itself says on startup (not PG edit) that it's 1.40... when I do "About POD Go" on PG edit (Mac and PC), it knows the software version, but the POD Go Firmware version says 0.00 (Build 000000000). I've tried updating the firmware like it asks several times, same result. Both Mac and Windows. It seems the software can't talk to the hardware properly to get the firmware version. It wouldn't be a big issue except some of my custom presets won't load because it says "model not found" which is a common issue when a PG has different firmware (usually older) and the preset contains models the PG doesn't have, due to using an older firmware.

Has anyone experienced this?
