Pod GO or HX FX with Positive Grid Spark

Looking for some advice please - I'd like a multi FX unit to use with PC software, and to plug into the input of my Positive Grid Spark amp. I intend to run the spark clean then use the multi FX primarily, mainly for compression, distortion, delay and reverb. I'm looking at the Pod Go and the HX Effects, would either be better suited for my needs? Would the amp/cab modelling be harder to dial in by going into the spark and not a monitor/FRFR type speaker? It'll just be desk based for home. Thanks
