"Helix device not connected" (Win11, HX Edit 3.60)

I haven't updated my LT since I first got it, so it's had 3.15 on it ever since. Decided it was finally time to go ahead.

Since the last time I used HX Edit, I've had to replace my laptop, and the new one came with Windows 11; I don't if that's a factor, but figured I should mention it.

So I:

  • downloaded and installed HX Edit 3.60
  • connected the Helix to the laptop, turned it on, launched HX Edit & got "Helix device not connected"

I tried

  • restarting both the laptop and LT, no luck
  • tried installing the "Driver2 Helix v 1.97.0.2", no luck
  • tried uninstalling all, reinstalling just with the main Helix installer, power cycle everything, no luck.

I was starting to assume either a cable or hardware issue, except Windows "knows" what the USB connection is... when I hover over the USB icon from the Taskbar, it says 'Helix', but still no luck

Any ideas?
