Hey! Faced such a problem. My Spider V 20 MKII worked fine, but today when I selected a preset in the Spider V Remote, the program with my AMP froze, the AMP did not make any sounds. I decided to restart it, and after the restart, the lights on the FX buttons turned on and then faded out, it refuses to work and Line 6 Updater as well as Spider remote does not see it, what should I do? Plugged guitar makes no sound. However when turning it on, i tried to hold FX1 + FX3. Some lights appear and it reacts to turning any knobs/ pressing buttons. I can also hear the clean sound of plugged guitar.  Please help!

I had the same problem. I was able to bring the V20 back to life.
1. Start the Updater.
2. Press and hold FX1 + FX3, turn on V20. In a few seconds the Updater will show V20 version 0.00.
3. Run the update to version 1.0.1. A light snake runs on the combo. Result Error, the snake is still running. Now for the interesting part.
4. Press Continue, Updater will show V20, version 2.00 (current). The light snake is still running on the combo.
5. Run the update to version 1.0.1. Now a red ProgressBar will appear, the update will end Succes. The combo restarts itself, it works.
6. Exit Updater. Turn off the combo.
7. Now we will perform a normal update to version 2.0.1.
8. Start the Updater, turn on the combo, do not hold down any buttons. You will see V20 1.0.1
9. Run the update to version 2.0.1 (I had the files offline, on the PC).
10. A light snake runs at the combo, end Succes, the snake runs out, the combo restarts itself. And it lives with version 2.0.1.

Thank you ! It worked for me as well. Same problem happened to me. The amplifier software just froze and I was very worried. Googled, raised support ticket(didn't get reply) nothing was working. Then came across this thread. You are a life saver
