ImmReece
Line 6 HD PRO X Was boot looping over and over for the longest time. I could sometimes get it to boot fully like 1 out of 30 times. Then it would work fine, and sound great... but very unreliable. Its now kind of working again, boots ok maybe half of the time. I can play through it fine when it boots ( sometimes after booting it will reboot), as well. I did a diagnosis test on it and it says that the SDRAM is failing (F). what can i do to fix this, if this is even why this device is acting up. In my opinion it could also be the power supply that is no longer able to provide the necessary amount of current.. Or further upstream, perhaps for some reason (eg too many devices turned on and connected to the same power strip) not enough current passes through the socket where the power supply is attached _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips

Im not sure if this will be consistent or if it indicates anything. But when it does boot it works perfectly line.
hurghanico
Pressing the left navigation pad while turning on the device (as you did) is a procedure for the POD known as "Global Parameter Reset" which generally should be performed every time the firmware is updated/installed (and which should always be followed by the "Pedal Calibration" procedure) to avoid malfunctions. Furthermore, the "Global Parameters Reset" procedure can be useful to get you out of a boot-reboot loop (as in your case) which could be caused by the last used/selected patch being corrupted, and it succeeds because it defaults back to Set List 1 Best of HD preset 1A Son of Plexi. A corrupted patch in this context is a patch (probably downloaded) that was created with different version firmware than the one currently installed on the device. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
ImmReece
Ok yeah, i understand. Yeah its acting strange, too odd to describe. It was just bootlooping till i plugged the usb to my PC. Any suggestions on how to fix? But a constant is that in the diagnosis mode ( Right arrow D PAD while booting) SDRAM is F, so i assume failed. If you want you can try what in this forum is considered a sort of remedy for all malfunctions, especially for which the exact cause is not clear, and that is reinstalling the firmware, which in practice is a way to completely reset the device. After reinstalling the firmware it is recommended to perform a Global Setting Reset and finally the Pedal Calibration procedure. Before starting everything described above it is advisable to save your patches on the computer which you can reload later. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
kaus64
Same problem in my hd500x. Did you solve it?
jamoce
Boot looping issues like this can be incredibly frustrating, especially when diagnostics point to failing SDRAM. Replacing the SDRAM could potentially solve the problem, but it might require professional repair if you're not comfortable working with the internal components. Alternatively, reaching out to Line 6 support or a trusted technician would be a good next step to ensure the device gets the attention it needs.
