bigkid
Interference.mp3 Hi all. Having a bit of a problem with my Relay G10. I have been playing in my home studio (the spare bedroom :-) ) and I have noticed a recurring tapping sound that can be heard through the monitors along with the guitar tone. It is more noticeable on distorted tones, but still there, irrespective. I usually run the Relay Receiver into a Fractal FM9 and coaxial to a Roland Quad Capture interface attached to my Windows 11 workstation. However, the tapping is still there if I run the audio directly into my interface (Roland Quad Capture) with analogue cable from the G10 Receiver and use some amp plugins in my DAW. I have tried several different power supplies on the Receiver. No luck. There is some computing equipment nearby, the workstation, a printer, a NAS and some other storage and a cyberpower UPS, but this stuff has always been there without interfering with my audio signal. I have tried two different transmitters, one G10 and another G10TII - same result for both. If I use cable only in either path, there is no tapping, so it is the receiver or both transmitters introducing the sound. I have recorded the sound with a couple of guitar notes. Would appreciate any thoughts on what it might be. Cheers, Allan Insert
