edflinkinp
Hello guys. I have a Spider V 30 MkII and I'm having issues connecting my amp to the PC properly. I am a beginner so I don't have in-depth knowledge about setups so I logged in here to see if anyone can help. All I want to do is simple video recordings via PC (just video, a backing track and the guitar). In the past (I mean over 7 years ago) I used to connect my Spider IV amp to my desktop PC directly via the input jack of the sound card, used a webcam and that's it. That worked well. Right now I have a laptop (no input jacks), and a new Spider V 30 MkII. In the beginning, I simply downloaded the drivers, connected the amp to the PC and it worked fine, but a few weeks later it developed a heavily noticeable latency that I can't seem to fix. I even restored the OS to a previous state and that didn't work. Now I even changed my laptop to a new one and the issue is the same and I don't know exactly what to do. I've tweaked the audio options in windows on every way I could to no avail. I thought having a direct USB connection between the amp and the PC would be so easy and convenient but I just cannot seem to make this new amp on a new laptop work and I'm very frustrated. Also there isn't much troubleshoot material for this issue and all I've found has had to do with ASIO drivers and recording software like Cubase which is not quite what I'm looking for (I downloaded it and I have no idea how to even use it). I just wanted to do simple video recordings using a video software and it's a bummer that 10 years ago it was so easy and now with better technology I haven't been able to do so. If there is any lead or guideline you can provide I will be grateful.
