Quarknase724
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to switch the channels of my Laboga Caiman Head using the EXT Amp Out of the Helix LT. Even though the Caiman requires exactly the kind of logic that can be configured for the EXT Amp Out (sleeve to ring or sleeve to tip), I suspect that the Helix LT does not switch potential-free, and therefore the grounded connection it provides does not match what the Laboga needs. Line6 support mentioned that unfortunately, not all amps could be tested for compatibility. However, I really wanted the Helix to be the only control center in my setup, so I built a small device powered by a 9V battery that performs the required function (potential-free switching of the Caiman channels via the Helix LT). If you're facing a similar issue, I hope this post offers some encouragement. The material costs and required skills are low, and the result is that a Laboga amp can indeed be switched using the Helix. I've attached a wiring diagram.
