Frankpc
On my POD HD Pro X with firmware version 2.62, I have "Input 1 Source" set to "Guitar" and "Input 2 Source" set to "Mic". I would like to keep the effects for the guitar as they are but the same effects are being applied to the microphone. How can I keep the microphone effects separate or off so I can use the microphone for vocals? It seems the "Inputs Setup" is the key. The options are "Preset" and "Global". But I cannot figure out how those function. The POD would have to accept two separate signal chains. My POD HD Pro X Edit version is 2.27.0 Is it even possible to prevent the microphone output from being affected by the guitar effects? Thank you! hurghanico
Move all the blocks amp/fx for guitar in path A. ie by using the editor drag and drop them into the upper line (path A) just after the initial pre-split path. Do the same thing for the fx you need for the voice but drag and drop them into the lower line (path B). Doing so your guitar chain and voice chain will be independent and separate.

Frankpc
I also received a response from Ben with Line 6: Yes, you can assign the inputs to either side of the signal path, e.g. input one goes to path A, input 2 to path B. You then pan the paths hard left/right and use the stereo outputs. See section 2-7 of the advanced guide. You will not have stereo put from the guitar or microphone in this setup. https://line6.com/legacy/podhdprox
Frankpc
Attaching an example of the dual path arrangement. The amp in the lower path is not active. I found an example for how to do this on YouTube. Posted by Fixer Pete: "HD500X as Guitar & Vocal Processor" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGKJdr6Zlvk For the most part, I copied his layout. I believe I modified my preset, "Big Hall", but not positive about the name.
