gimmeanh
If I use my stadium XL with a single powercab 212+, the advantages I receive with the expand D10 are: - digital signal to cabinet (noise, etc) - stadium can command the powercab to change cabinet models on a per preset basis - one aes cable for stereo instead of 2 1/4 or XLR - does it make it easier to run amp-in-room sound out of speaker but mic'd cab to front of house? With the added cost of the D10, I'm just curious if this is all I would personally benefit, or am I missing some other advantages?

Noting that you can change cabinet models with MIDI (as I do). On 6/1/2026 at 3:18 PM, gimmeanh said: - does it make it easier to run amp-in-room sound out of speaker but mic'd cab to front of house? I don't see why/how. The D10 itself doesn't make this any easier (noting we don't really know how routing on it will work for its digital outputs). You want cab modelling somewhere. Considering you said you want to model in the PC212, You have several options: run XLR outs from the PC; or, Mic the PC; or, Add additional cab modelling on a different path in the Stadium and route that through an output to FOH. For performance, I kind of gave up on modeling in the PC and do it all in-Stadium. So out of the PC or out of the Stadium to FOH shouldn't matter.
