Joensen
Hello. I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum, or if this is posted before. I can't seem to find it. Is there any way I can connect my Hd500 directly to my passive cabinet? I don't have a top right now, and it'll be some time, before I can afford a new... My cabinet is 8ohm (if that's a matter)
Rewolf48
No - the HD500 is an effects unit and only outputs a mic, instrument or line level signal (depending on output used and settings), you have to an amplifier to power anything bigger and louder than a pair of headphones. bjnette
Look for a 100watt solid state amp head which has an Effects send and return till you can afford what you want.
Palico
If you have old PA power amp around you could run the POD to that and use it to power the cab. But as meantioned the POD does not have a power amp on it so it can not power a cab directly.
