Bass PODxt Pro features 28 groundbreaking amp models, includes modeled stompbox effects, full-time compression, A.I.R.™ II cabinet/microphone modeling, stereo effects loop, balanced XLR outs for the studio, unbalanced 1/4" outs for live applications, TRS line in and unprocessed guitar output, AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital ins and outs, and USB.  The Bass PODxt Pro also features a dedicated ‘DI’ out so you can get the perfect blend of direct and wet sound out to the board, the PA, or your DAW.

How is Bass PODXT Pro different from Bass PODXT or Bass PODXT Live?
Bass PODxt Pro is the 2U rack mounted member of the Bass POD® family. The Bass PODxt Pro has a built in power supply and more In/Out capability than the other Bass PODxt devices. These expanded options include AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital inputs and outputs, TRS Line input, TRS Unprocessed Bass output, XLR outputs for studio/mixing board, 1/4'' outputs for live use, and an effects loop.

How is Bass PODXT Pro different from the original Bass POD® Pro?

In addition to brand new groundbreaking amp and cabinet models built from the award-winning modeling technology found in our other Bass PODxt family of devices, Bass PODxt Pro delivers 6 simultaneous effects that can be flexibly routed to meet your unique sonic needs. These effects include more classic models of filter, stompbox and studio effects as well as a dedicated compressor and a dedicated 6 band semi-parametric EQ. In addition, Bass PODxt Pro offers USB support for Digital Audio In & Out, an intuitive screen display for deep patch editing, bi-amp output made with selectable crossover, and Flash memory that allows for easy upgrades so you can always incorporate the latest innovations from Line 6 as they become available.

What foot controllers work with Bass PODXT?

FBV™ series foot controllers – FBV, FBV Shortboard™, FBV4™, FBV2™, and FBV Express™ – work with Bass PODxt and Bass PODxt Pro. The Floor Board® and FB4™ are incompatible with Bass PODxt and Bass PODxt Pro.

What is the USB connector for?

The USB connector allows you to perform direct digital recording via the Bass PODxt Pro drivers. For Windows® users, these drivers support ASIO, WDM, MME/Direct Sound and MIDI. For Macintosh® OSX users, these drivers support ASIO and Core Audio.

What is the A.I.R. II?

A.I.R. II is Line 6's second-generation Acoustically Integrated Recording technology. It expands your sonic choices and creative options by allowing you to choose from 4 different microphone models for each cabinet and adjust their placement in front of the cabinet.

Does Bass PODXT Pro support Models Packs?

The Bass PODxt family of devices was built from the ground up with the most important features for bass players in mind.  They are completely unique and different in design from the guitar family of (Guitar) POD® xt Products.  As a result, at this time none of the Model Packs are available for Bass PODxt or Bass PODPro.

Can Bass PODXT Pro be used live?

Yes. The Bass PODxt Pro features a "live mode" that gives you the best of both worlds when playing live. Just use the XLR outputs to feed the soundboard for pristine board-ready tone, and simultaneously use the 1/4" outputs, which are optimized for your onstage amp & cabs.
