Tone Summary Completely remodeled and redesigned lush atmosphere. Delete your old Acoustic Time Warp, this is ten times better. (Scroll Down For More Info!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you want to read all of this, I suggest clicking inside the Notes box, press CTRL+A and then CTRL+C, open up Notepad or Word, then pasting it. You'll get much more info. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always, tweak this tone as much as you can to get it to sound perfect. This tone only to be a very good guide to getting the sound you want. So unless you're using my exact setup, which would be very weird, expect to tweak something! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Band B. Boyd and Seanie D. Album Dark Room Jazz (Personal Records 2008) Guitarists Bryan Boyd Sean Doran Genre Improv Blues Jazz Shoe-Gaze ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have personally crafted each Acoustic Time Warp to be superior to the last, and with this one, I keep true to tradition. I try to deliver quality, not quantity. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guitar Used A stock Gibson Les Paul Studio with a modified bone nut Pickups Humbuckers Amp Used Vox AD50VT (Boutique Clean- EQ Flat with Max Volume) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Output Source Combo Poweramp (You'll have to correct the tone to fit whatever your setup is) Compression Just enough to let notes stay in the picture. You can definitelly add some more, I just wanted to capture the various intensities of my picking. Gate I wanted to get rid of the buzz, but still have everything I do be audible. EQ As you probably have noticed, on the amp settings, there's barely any Treble. I was going for a real laid back sound. You can definitely boost it if you want to pop out more. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neck Pickup Mellow Solos Subdued Rhythm or Fingerpicking Laid back and chill Middle Pickup Best of both worlds If you don't want to get into the extremes Bridge Pickup Solos Agressive Rhythm Adds a dirty and distorted feel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Mod (Bias Trem) is actually of use now, and adds to the overall feeling rather than direct it into an experimental area. The Stomp (Facial Fuzz) still gives you that solo ability, but adjust it to whatever suits your needs. The Delay (Sweep Echo) is still the main focus of this tone. It gives you that Time Warp effect that puts this tone into that trippy area. Reverb (Chamber) helps suppport the Delay, and more can added if you want to get deeeeeeeeeep! I would suggest Cavernous if you really want to test your Reverb limits. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Line 6 Equipment Used PodXT Live Crafted By Seanie D. Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.
