Nashville Tone Party
Line 6 Hosted a Variax Acoustic tone party last month at SoundCheck rehearsal in Nashville. The attendees were some of Nashville's top guitar players, including Jerry McPherson and Pat Bergerson, Nashville session players, Peter Mayer and Mac McAnally, from the Jimmy Buffet Band, Rick Eckhardt, with Toby Keith, and Charlie Crow of Brooks N' Dunn. Also on hand was Trent Willmon, a new artist on Sony Nashville, who has the current hit single 'Beer Man'. His self-titled album will be released this fall. Nashville's own jam band, Mile 8, was also in attendance.
This gave Line 6 a chance to invite players to come in and check out the new Variax Acoustic in a big room, through a kick ass P.A. The results were thumbs up from all who came by. From finger picking, to straight ahead 3 chord guitar bashing, the Variax Acoustic stood up to the critical ears of Nashville's finest.
In addition, Country Music Television was on hand filming Sony recording artist Trent Willmon getting a demo from Line 6's own loveable James Santiago. Check out the segment airing on the CMT show, CMT Insider i>Air Dates TBD. We'll update this article when the dates are determined.
In the meantime, check out some of the photos and footage from the Nashville Tone Party:
