    Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

    The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

    Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

    For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

    Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

    Like my previous upload (Sunn + HXSt 23) I decided on a different Tact this time around. I usually upload full-up Helix Floor/LT presets, as that's how I gig live, however, I realize that the majority of folks here switch out the FX that I use for their own, adding or deleting or tweaking to fit their own situation. So when I built this preset and tried it at a couple of gigs, I realized that the baseline part of the preset (amp, cab, compressor, drive pedals, reverb, delay) is all anyone really wants. And this way, it works for full-up Helix AND for Stomp, with a couple blocks to spare. This uses the Grammatico GSG amp into my go-to dual cab combo (Match H30 / Match G25), and uses an LA Studio Comp to lend a nice tube feel. You can try it bypassed and hear for yourself, without this, the cleans and driven tones are not as balanced and smooth. I'm also using the on-board amp Drive channel by programming a footswitch to A. Turn on the "OD Switch" and B. I have the Drive level and Drive Gain adjusted so that it's unity-volume level with more gain. Very nice. Additionally, I added a Zendrive (Dhyana) for use alone with the clean or stacked with the OD channel for much more Overdrive. THIS provides a very nice Robben Ford-ish tone. Smooth, dark, syrupy sweet. Again, without the compressor after the amp, it just doesn't do that tone justice, but this entire combination seems to work perfectly! I've kept the Reverb (Dynamic Ambience) and two Delays (Bucket Brigade and Vintage Digital) for short and longer delays respectively. Footswitch turns one off and the other on. I like to tap this for longer delays during a solo. So for a compact preset with those coveted Dumble-esque tones, this really seems to work. Especially with humbuckers, but a good set of single coils also works very well here. Here are a couple of tunes from last weekend where I used this preset in a live situation. Helix is direct to FOH, no speakers on stage, recorded with a Zoom Q2N and NO post-processing. Here are the cleans... PRS DGT in middle position, nothing split - Nice and lush, I think: Starts on with OD Switch on, shifts to clean for the most of the rest of the song... Auto Swell used at times (Please disregard our bass-players horrible backing vocals!!!): Drive all the way here;
