  1. Guys, it has been stated a few times now that gearbox is no longer supported. It wasn't supported with Mavericks either, but happened to work with it. I don't use gearbox and don't even know what it is, but it has been stated that it will not be updated to work with Yosemite, so there is no news when it comes to gearbox.
  2. Ahh, I went into the other library folder last time I tried. I followed these fool proof instructions, and curiously enough, my monkey folder in my line 6 folder was empty, and I had no line 6 files in my preferences, besides the file the instructions said its not necessary to delete, but it's ok to do so. I deleted the empty monkey folder and still have the same problem. I did notice digidesign drivers during my time in the library folder that I didn't know I have. My pod is up and running just fine again, and I don't want to go through the lengthy process of uninstalling everything avid/digidesign on my computer to see if that solves the problem. Hopefully when pro tools updates to support Yosemite, this whole thing will be sorted out.
  3. Is the POD on while you are trying to update the firmware? If Im not mistaken, I think I remember that the POD is not supposed to be on when downloading updates on Monkey. The MIDI message might be referring to the USB port. Maybe try disconnecting the USB cable connecting your computer to your POD? Also, the driver fixing the kernel panic worked out great for me, and I'm using my POD again. Do I need to have Line 6 software installed on my computer for it to continue working? Can I uninstall Monkey and License Manager and continue using the new driver?
  4. Thanks, I'll have to try that when I get home. If it works, I'll hopefully be in the clear as I will have no use for monkey once I have that driver. Hopefully the problems people are having with pro tools won't become apparent once I start using my Line 6 device again.

I haven't noticed any problems with Pro Tools 11 since Yosemite came out, but then again I have not done any extensive work with it because I can't use my Pod X3 Live, which is my only audio interface. I don't own an M-box, or any digidesign hardware. I'm a daily user of Sibelius, and it has had no problems with Yosemite. If Avid drivers are to blame, then this means that Line6 is totally in the clear with regards to this problem now that they have released the updated drivers? Do we need to take this up with Avid now? If that is the case, this may be a real pain in the lollipop to solve because they are notoriously bad with solving customer problems like this. I wish I could just bypass Monkey all together and download the new driver without Monkey. I have really no use for it and once I am able to download the new driver (if that ever happens) I will unlikely ever open it again.
  6. I do have Pro Tools 11 and Sibelius 7.5 installed on my Mac.
  7. I used a terminal command to show all hidden files and folders. These files you told me to delete do not appear to exist on my system. The terminal commands for deleting the folders are not working. I went into finder, clicked Macintosh HD in the sidebar, went into the library folder, then the Application Support and Preferences folders and there is nothing related to Line 6 in there, even after reinstalling Monkey
  8. License manager opens fine and my computer is authorized.
  9. I don't keep Monkey in my dock when its not open. When I try to open it, it is added to the dock like all other open applications, but bounces. It does not have the dot underneath the icon that indicates the app is open, and my task bar does not recognize the program as open. I've tried adding it to the dock and opening it there, opening it in the applications folder, the launchpad, and right-click opening it and none of them work. Repairing disk permissions didn't help either, nor did the terminal command.
  10. This problem has happened as soon as I updated to Yosemite. My computer shipped with Mountain Lion and I upgraded to Mavericks a week later when it came out. Monkey worked fine on both versions, but as soon as I upgraded to Yosemite from Mavericks, it stopped working. I then upgraded to Monkey 1.68 after already downloading Yosemite, and still have the same problem. The problem occurs whether or not my Pod X3 Live is connected, and I still can't open it after installing the new driver released today. I have uninstalled all drivers through the driver uninstaller and dragged the Line 6 folder from my Applications folder to the trash to uninstall Monkey. I tried reinstalling several times and the problem still persists. About my Mac: OSX Yosemite Version 10.10 Macbook Pro (Retina, 15 inch, early 2013) Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory: 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Startup Disk: Macintosh HD Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB Also has an aftermarket SSD that replaced my stock Samsung SSD. Transcend JetDrive 725 480GB SATA III It has a Bootcamp partition on it that has Monkey and Line 6 software on it for when I am using Windows. This Windows software is viewable in my Finder window.
  11. Thanks for the fix, but Monkey 1.68 still will not open for me. It bounces up and down in my dock without doing anything. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times but nothing is working. Anybody else having trouble with this?
  12. I appreciate the update, Tony. I'm glad to know it's being worked on. I just created a killer tone using dual tone and the bender stomp effect to make it sound like I'm playing 2 harmonized guitars at once. Can't wait to hear what it sounds like when its recorded!
  13. You're in the same boat as the rest of us. Hopefully the fix is ready soon, but I wouldn't count on it because Line 6 has not updated this thread with any info, besides acknowledging the problem exists almost 2 weeks ago. Hopefully they will surprise us with a fix in the next couple of days, or at least update us and let us know they are working on it. As of right now, everything looks like it is up in the air because there hasn't been any info from Line 6. Somebody noted that their M-Audio equipment has not been working with Yosemite, but mine is working great with the new OS. In fact, all of my equipment and programs have transitioned to Yosemite extremely well. Besides the POD, of course.
  14. That seems like a terrible fix, even if it did fix the monkey problem, it would likely wreck havoc across a lot of your programs and even the system as a whole. Not worth it in my opinion. I'm surprised there's no word from line 6 regarding this problem yet, as it is probably affecting every x3 user who connects to their macs with Yosemite. According to another poster, it is even affecting pod HD users. Although MacBook speakers are great laptop speakers, I would never use them to mix. I need my pod to play audio through my monitors. If this is not fixed soon, I will need to buy a new interface, and I can assure you it won't be made by line 6. I've had my eye on the HD series for awhile, but if they don't work with macs anymore, I can't use them.
  15. Monkey 1.68 still will not launch for me. last I checked, I had all of the most recent drivers for the pod x3 live before I deleted them. I also updated to Yosemite from Mavericks. I don't remember what the OS was called before Mavericks, but that was the initial OS my computer came installed with. I have a early 2013 MacBook pro retina with 8gb of ram and Intel i7 processor. It looks like nobody else is having trouble launching monkey. Could it be because I swapped out the stock Samsung ssd for a larger one made by transcend? I'm not having trouble launching anything else after updating to Yosemite, but that aftermarket ssd is the only thing I can think of which sets my Mac apart from everybody else's, and might be causing this problem. I'm going to try installing monkey on the original ssd, which is in an enclosure and connected to my MacBook via usb 3.0 when I get home and see if I can open it then. After uninstalling the line 6 drivers, my computer no longer crashes when the pod is connected, so I'm guessing this is certainly driver related
  16. I just tried turning on the POD after uninstalling the drivers and my computer isnt crashing anymore as well. Are you guys able to open Monkey on Yosemite? I want to check if there are updated drivers for the POD but I don't know any other way than through Monkey.
  17. I would try connecting it through the FX loop on the POD. Connect a cable from the FX send on the POD to the input on the Boss pedal, and another cable from the ouput on the Boss pedal into the FX return on the POD. I also have a POD X3 live, but I've never used the FX loop, but I do believe it is for outboard effects pedals like your loop station
  18. I went back and checked the page I installed Monkey on, and the Pod X3 Live was listed under compatible devices with the Yosemite update. I just went into License manager, which said my computer was not authorized, and authorized it. I also uninstalled all Line 6 drivers off of my computer and tried a fresh reinstall of monkey, and the Monkey icon still bounces up and down in my dock without opening. I'm not sure what else to try here. If it is any help, I installed Monkey version 1.68 on an early 2013 retina macbook pro running OSX 10.10
  19. I just upgraded to OSX Yosemite yesterday from Mavericks. Today I thought I would work on a project in Pro Tools, so I turned on my audio interface (Pod X3 Live) and my computer crashed. It got stuck in a looping crash where it would reboot, crash, reboot, crash indefinitely. I turned off my Pod and the crashing stopped. I then tried booting up monkey to check for updates, and the monkey icon started bouncing up in down in my dock without opening. I then realized there might be a Yosemite update for monkey itself, so I looked online and found it. I downloaded the monkey yosemite update, and it said it would overwrite the previous version, so I downloaded it without uninstalling the previous version. I still have the same problem, so I uninstalled everything Line 6 off of my computer and tried reinstalling Monkey again, and still have the same problem. I would really like to work on my project in pro tools right now but I can't without my Pod. Any suggestions on what I should do? I realize Yosemite was just released to the public yesterday and there are bound to be some bugs, but are there any fixes in the meantime?
