Hello Line 6 Friends! I'm trying the use the Helix.app to save my presets and it constantly is Timing Out (see screen shot). I'm connected to USB Port 3.0 on my Mac Book Pro (see screen shot #2 for details). Can anyone offer any advice as to what's going on??? Firmware on the Helix is the new Helix Firmware v1.02.2 Ty! FYI Also Phil_M: In the "PV Panama" preset (and also in a custom preset I was also creating) I very carefully examined the internal Input and Output settings, trying all of them. None of them allowed the Legacy amp's tone stack controls to work, tried all possible combinations. Please let me know and thank you. Byron

Hi Phil_M: Thank for you help, how (or where in the Helix) do I go to find (and change) the effects loop block and the separate send and return blocks? I'm using the stock "PV Panama" preset with no changes to the factory settings. ​And using the 4CM cabling I described. Please comment in great detail if you could. FYI - All Helix presets are causing the Legacy amp tone stack controls not to work, they do sound lovely just would like to get the Legacy tone stack controls to work too and see where it goes from there. Hello Line 6 Friends! I got my Helix. I am using the Four Cable Method for Helix connection into Legacy III. In this connection I am finding that the Legacy III (and I also tested with my Marshall 2205 amp head) that the entire pre-amp section is disengaged, all of the knobs no longer work and changing channels does not matter. The Legacy III (and the Marshall 2205, separate test of course) act as massive power amp, tone is totally pure coming from the Helix for either Clean or Dirty presest and all works fine. Is there no way to engage the pre-amp section so that all the tone controls and channels do work and it's not just one big power amp powering the 4x12 cab? (and yes both amp [separate tests] work just fine by themselves stand alone with no effects plugged in all knobs and channels working perfect.) Has anyone experienced this? Is there another cabling configuration maybe? Here is the routing: #1: Gibson Les Paul > Helix guitar in #2: Helix Send (#1) > Legacy Amp Input (front of amp) #3: Helix Return (#1) > Legacy Effects SEND (back of amp) #4: Helix 1/4 inch OUT (left/momo) > Legacy Effects RETURN (back of amp) Everyone please chime in :-) Ty! THANK YOU PHIL!!! — Finally got some clarity on this subject. I'm glad this thread was started, maybe down the road the Helix can do this. I would think many guitar players would want this feature and yes I have suggested it in the IdeaScale Page. Hello Line 6 Friends! Looking to get the Helix floor unit. I'm working as a single guitarist in a 4 piece band doing Thin Lizzy's (Boy's Are Back In Town) and I would like to know if the Helix intelligent pitch shifting is able to correctly play the harmonies as shift in real time as they appear on the original song? Looking to do a program user scale to program all 12 notes for the intervals that you see in this video (as a reference): Please let me know. Cheers :) Byron Nemeth

Thanks (@mdmayfield). Switch or pedal workaround won't work at all as an idea, need fluid integration with a defined user scale that can be programmed. Is there anyone out there that works at Line 6 that can please chime in on this ???? Thanks everyone. Byron Nemeth

Question please: do you work for Line 6? reason I'm asking is that I'm trying to confirm that the Helix Floor Pedal unit will do this "one harmony with model of Eventide H3000" idea. It's REALLY critical that I find this out, it will determine if I purchase one or not, do you know what the Patch number in the Helix that does this will be??? Alot of other manufacture units claim that they can do "Harmonies" but when you put them to the Thin Lizzy test in a Live Stage application with the band they fail miserably. I know the Helix has the (Twin Harmony and Harmony Delay) but can these patches really play the Thin Lizzy's harmonies? Here are the intervals as a reference: Please let me know.
