  1. I think it MIGHT be possible, but definitely a lot more to it than your typical A/B switch. The main reason is that the RJ45 connector has 8 separate wires. I am not aware of an 8PDT stomp-style switch and have VERY serious doubts that such a switch exists. You would have to use a DPDT connected to a relay. This gets a bit complicated, as you would need to power that relay somehow. I suspect the whole thing would be more trouble and expense than it'd be worth. Alternately, you could just plug one Variax in through the VDI input and the other through the 1/4" guitar input. Then, set up duplicate patches on the HD500X, with one set using the VDI and the other set using the 1/4".
  2. Well ok. That makes sense. I never realized the DT series had tubes. I guess I AM ignorant! Thanks.
  3. Please forgive my ignorance, but can someone explain to me how the dream rig works? I have a JTV-69S, an HD500 and an FRFR powered speaker from another manufacturer. If the 500 is modeling the amp and cabinet and the FRFR is faithfully reproducing it with neglegible coloration, then what would a Line 6 modeling guitar amp add to the formula that i don't already have? Just curious.

  5. Sorry, I just joined the forum today. Thanks.
  6. BTW- Jennifer Batten is awesome. She used to be Michael Jackson's touring lead guitarist. But I'm sure you knew that already.
  7. Looks to me like a white JTV69 with SD Duckbuckers and some kind of big sticker or contact paper.
