About Me
I have been playing guitar since 1998 and though I've had no formal training, I've been lucky enough to find myself in a variety of musical settings and have learned through the most valuable asset a musician has: the ears. I was primarily self taught and during my early years as a guitarist I also studied percussion - marching and orchestral. With a solid base in rhythm, I took my mainly hard rock and metal roots to the world of jazz - performing with both a big band and jazz combo. Concurrently, I explored the area of individual vocal performance and jazz choir.
My most recent experience was performing as the lead vocalist for a local wedding/cover band.
Yes kids, being a drunk metal guitarist in a karaoke bar can turn into being a drunk karaoke contest winner and even later a professional front man in a cover band. So weird I know, but my mantra is this:
Limit yourself musically, and you limit your ability to find the real solace and the real pulse of an amazing life blood - the creativity and experience of being a musical extension of a collective that spans the ages...
