  1. Did you ever solve this? I've had this problem for 3 years running - I just live with it. Just tried another cable which made no difference. My Helix is connected directly to my Mac Studio, but the cable is 10' long (I can't relocate either the Helix or the Mac Studio so they'd be closer so I could use a shorter cable).
  2. Yes yes please tell us more about your experience with Deuce Deluxe, especially since a few months have gone by. I've been running Helix with the Deuce's predecessor, the Tech21 Power Engine 60 ("PE60") for almost 3 years now and it's a great setup - I like the PE60 so much I bought 2 of them - one for the studio and one for the road - and have held off on upgrading it to PowerCab because a) it's so good and b) Powercab is pricey. I've always thought FRFR's ought to cost less than comparably-powered guitar amps (especially tube amps); after all, you're getting less (there's no pre-amp). The Deuce Deluxe improves upon the PE60 with more power, a closed and vented cabinet, most controls and power light on the top (which is way better), 2 1/4" narrower (although it's apparently a whopping 7" deeper), lighter, switchable tweeter (PE60 has no tweeter, not that I've ever felt the need for that). Just as you said you like what you hear - I like what I see. What do you think 2 months later? Also, why did you buy two, rather than one plus the extension cabinet?
  3. OK fantastic - I will try that - thanks again.
  4. Thanks Phil_M - very helpful - I did not know about these and will try one, although: 1) Since I use at least 3 guitars in every show, I can't put my transmitter on the guitar strap unless I go with multiple transmitters. Is that what you do? 2) Which size did you get - the small or the medium? (The medium seems to be a better fit for the G70, although both seem a bit too narrow.) Also, your Amazon link led me to another transmitter pouch you might be interested in knowing about (made by Levy's Leathers of guitar strap fame) although I'm perplexed by the dimensions on the Amazon page (6x4x1) and I can't find this product on Levy's web site, which is odd: Please let me know which size pouch you are using for the G70 transmitter, and thanks again for your reply.
  5. The belt clip on my brand new Relay G70 snaps off the transmitter way too easily. When I pull the transmitter up and off my belt, sometimes the belt clip just snaps right off even though I am not pulling obliquely or anything. All it takes is one slightly imperfect pull and SNAP - it's off the unit. And once it's off the unit, the clip it is pretty hard to get back into position. Even worse, it scratches the paint right off the unit, especially while trying to get it back on. I'm very disappointed in the belt clip design. (I also own a G50 and the belt clip is way more rugged - you couldn't do anything to that thing, although it has battery door issues, which is why I bought the G70). As others reported above, once it's snapped off, the clip would be easy to lose - especially during the heat of the moment on stage. And I would not want to have to struggle with trying to get the clip back onto the unit between songs during a performance. I'm in complete disbelief over the entire belt clip design and hope against hopes that Line6 has come up with an improved-design retrofit. Comments? Thoughts?
