  1. Hi friends. Okay, so I can save a backup and restore it after an update, this will give me the unit back to how it was before, but the disadvantage is that I won't get the new presets if any. If I save my own presets, do a factory reset after updating, and load my presets back, how can I restore my general settings. I know I can redo them, but it would be quicker to get them back if possible. Thanks for your help, JPR
  2. Hi friends. At each new HX stomp's firmware update, it is of course necessary to create a backup. The problem with that is that the backup saves all presets including factory wants, and not only user presets. So when a backup is restored, you can't benefit from new presets that come with the updates. So how can I save just my own presets in HX edit. HX stomp does not hendel set lists, and saving single presets forces you to create one. So I see a contradiction there and I don't know how to get around it. Thanks for helping. Cheers, JPR
  3. Sasha, don't say this. It's all software so it's doable if they want. It's up to their decision. Let us influence them for good. Please vote for this idea, I know it's like a drop of water in the ocean, but the more we are the more chances we get. Cheers, JPR
  4. Hi friends. I've already been posting on this subject, and my only hope is that the HX stomp series will keep evolving, as I rely on it more and more. Nevertheless, if you feel concerned, all I'm asking you is to vote for the following idea to make Line 6 aware . I'm pasting the idea's text here, and the link is below. " On HX stomp, the play view has 4 inactive controls which are the knob under the preset selector and the 3 bottom knobs. I really think they should be used for something. What I would like if possible, would be to have the 3 low knobs available in the assignable controllers list to tweak any effect parameter in real-time without having to change to edit view and select an effect to tweak, and the knob under the preset selector would be ideal for tempo, (turn to increase or decrease, click to tap), thus freeing foot switch free for other uses. Hope you will find this useful and agree that these features will make HX Stomp easier and more fun to play with. " https://line6.ideascale.com/c/idea/97927 thanks in advance. JPR
  5. Hi, this is a typical blind user request. I'm not sure it will meet other users needs, but it would be great help if it was easy enough to do. Thanks for checking it out and commenting. Cheers, JPR Https://line6.ideascale.com/c/idea/1047622
  6. Thanks Lou. Glad I'm not the only one who would find this feature useful. Cheers mate, JPR
  7. Hi, thank you for your reply. I have added a comment to my idea with the explanation sent above in this thread. I hope someone from Line Six will be monitoring that idea and find it interesting enough. I believe it could be profitable to every user, not only visually impaired ones. In a software world everything is possible you know, and if different parameters from different blocks can be controlled via MIDI controllers it can surely be done with these 3 knobs doing nothing in play mode. I do have another question though about connecting two expression pedals. I don't understand how it works technically speaking. All the expression pedals I know have a non-detachable cable that ends with an RTS jacks,(ring tip sleeve). But the manual says to user y cable with standard mono jacks if I understand well. "With a Y-cable (tip-ring-sleeve 1/4" jack, split to two tip-sleeve 1/4" jacks), two expression pedals can be connected." How can it possibly work? Cheers, JPR
  8. Let me give you an example. I have a preset that contains a reverb, a ping-pong delay, and a looper. I would like to be able to control these 3 blocks levels with these 3 knobs. With HX stomp, it is not a simple task as it requires navigating between blocks, and these 3 knobs are free of use in play view, so I suppose it's only a software decision to bring them to the control assign options, just like expression pedals. I don't know much about Helix, and if it differs in this matter. I'm a keyboard player and visually impaired to. My HX stomp often sits on a table and is hand manipulated most of the time. The stomp layout felt right to me, I was using an M13 before so it seemed like a natural move. Should I have chosen Helix instead, I don't know. Any thoughts on this? Best, JPR
  9. HX Stomp, allowing the 3 bottom knobs to control parameters in play view https://line6.ideascale.com/c/idea/1047624
  10. Hi, I love my HX Stomp, but there is one little thing I miss. The 3 bottom knobs have no function in play view. Of course, I can hook expression pedals to it, but these 3 knobs would give me three more parameters to control in real time, without the need to carry a MIDI controller. I posted an idea on Line six ideas and I would like to give it a push, hoping it's allowed here. So if you like it, please vote. https://line6.ideascale.com/c/idea/1047624 All the best, JPR
  11. Hi QWERTY. Well, could be that these reverbs have mostly been designed for guitars, and I am trying to use them with keyboards. Surprisingly, the best sound I'm getting is from the cave algorithm. I'm going to try combining several of them, I only use stereo ones of course. They all start nicely, but tales sound weird. I hope they can come up with something more keyboard orientated maybe. Cheers, JPR
  12. Hi, Visually impaired keyboardist from Paris France, Discovering HX stomp, I love everything about it except reverbs. I haven't been able to find something that sounds like a natural space, not springy, not necessarily huge, but just what you would expect from a room whole or plate. Available algorithms always have a strange sounding tail, especially when playing chords, it's hard to define. I have heard that combining reverbs would do the trick, but would anyone share his experience in this matter, which ones, serial or parallel? And does anyone know if Line 6 plans to add more reverbs in the future, I wouldn't mind having a really rich one even if it's DSP demanding and would require several blocks. Thanks for your help, regards, Jean-Philippe
