no usb connected to pedal only ethernet cable I wonder if this pedal is defective...it sticks to one bank and only one bank regarless of what sound I choose in gearbox

just got the express pedal connected and I use gearbox to see all my banks of patches(4 tones in each). I thought the pedal would scroll through each 4 tones in a bank, however, when I hit B in bank 3 on the pedal it jumps to a completely different bank(like bank 10 B). Doesn't matter what bank I am currently in, when I hit the B pedal it jumps to bank 10 B. Why it doing this? Thanks
