I have played guitar for years but have little knowledge I have a pod x3 (red bean) which I like but I have been wanting to get a fender hot rod 3 deluxe what I want to do is have the clean of the amp untouched by the pod then by pressing the foot switch the pod is now on top of the fender, my feeling is that I dont want to touch the fender clean tone, but the distortion I can make my own on top of it, could I get some advise? Maybe even an amp is not ideal I just wanted that fat tube sound and the function of the pod, fyi have tried the line 6 tube amp- spider I think, liked the sound but not the function so please dont suggest that.
