  1. I really love this guitar (JTV 69)  and the versatility it provides  ! But one more question for you all . What pickups have you used in combination with your Gibson Les Paul other than Lester pickups?

One of my favorites is the LP body with mini-humbuckers. The 89 pickups are also fun. Use the "spank" single-coil pickups, and you can emulate coil-splitting. Build all the positions for a 3 pickup setup (HHH), and things get really interesting. Now ask yourself, will the middle pickup be a treble or a bass pickup? Throw in some out-of-phase and/or series wirings, for good measure. The sheer number of choices will start to make your brain hurt after awhile... :)

  2. Just wondering if anyone knows why the capacitor values of some guitars are not standard? Is this the way Line 6 intended or is it a mistake? Some examples: Tele models are .22, not .047, Strat models are .047, not .22. The Gretsch models are off correct specs too. I think there are some others not quite on as well. Does anyone think this is the way they meant for it to be because it sounded better to them? Maybe those particular modeled guitars were altered that way? Could it just be a glitch?

I can't speak for L6 and answer the "why" part of your question, but I can confirm that this is real and not just your imagination. I noticed yesterday while exploring an issue from another thread, and was as surprised as you to find many of the values are not ideal for the pickups/models they are emulating. Not a huge deal as they can be changed to whatever you want in workbench... just seems sloppy as a starting point.

  3. Hello,

Our development team has been made aware of this problem.  We have logged a bug and hope for a fix in a future update.  In the meantime the workaround within Workbench HD is to switch pickup 3 (with identical settings as pickup 1) with pickup 1.  Switching pickup 3 with pickup 2 will also work. The problem occurs only when you make an adjustment using both pickups 1+2.

Thanks for the update! That is helpful.

  4. i cant help but notice the volume level going down .. is this because you have re-tweak the patches after updating the guitar on the POD?

    can anyone comment on that?

I can only speak on my personal experience with the jtv-69, as you will find a wide range of answers. For me, with 1.9 and prior, the model string volume at default 100% was too high - caused clipping and did not match the mags. I tuned string volume down to 60% or so and was better. With 2.0, the string volume is on par with the mags right out of the box. No clipping this time. So, I think they did tweak the volumes with 2.0, but in a good way and more balanced.
