I've got two Line 6 Spider 4 75w Amps. I would like to control both of them from one FBV shortboard mk2.
here is my signal path:
Guitar > Boss TU2 > Ibanez TS9(sometimes x2) > Boss volume ped > A/B splitter >> output A goes to Amp 1 & output B goes to Amp 2 . . .
these are placed logically around the shortboard to minimize any tap-dancing
Right now I have:
AMP 1 switching channels and running effects... via the short board.
AMP 2 is usually set-and-forget. = Clean Red with the 'Gain' cranked (to taste).
Generally the presets on this amp are dry(er) with minimal (if any) noticeable delays.
(though very short modulated delay 100% wet is cool too)
Choice of sound for AMP 1 varies accordingly, but I find I use the Clean Red quite a bit there as well,
Crunch & Hi Gain are great too. Although, with these I tend to shy away from cranking the Gains.
The TS-9(s) in my chain add enuff gain and then sum.
The Bass OD for the 'Stomp' is my fave, bummed when I can't use it simultaneously with the Whammy preset...
I may just need to dedicate a spot to the real Whammy, and use the FBV pedal as wah, I prefer the Boss vol where it is.
I prefer The TU2 first (buffer/tuner/bypass).
The splitter as a mean of getting signal independantly to the two amps. (and switching if/when needed)
My next email will seek out Mr Ben Heck . . .
