  1. Hello all, I have two pocket pods and one had a repetitive clicking sound while the other had horrible static. Both turned out to be a capacitor issue. But I made the repair very easy by simply using masking tape to anchor a new capacitor to the existing prongs on the top side of the board and then applying soldier. No need to work on the underside of the board. See the picture. Masking tape is used to hold the cap connected to the prongs while soldier is applied. The soldering is not professional, but the unit now works perfectly.
  2. Thanks Dave. It could be an outlet issue, but it's also possible that it's some other electrical appliance. I read where one user disconnected all of his computer stuff and that solved the repetitive click issue with the Pocket Pod.
  3. I was having an issue with my three pocket pods making repetitive clicking sounds. All three of them when plugged in to a wall socket. Also with static or hissing noises. My solution was to go to batteries. The problem was interference in my home. Could be anything. But it affected all three pocket pods when on the three adapters. You could try shutting things off in the home or disconnecting things. But there's no doubt that the issue is electrical interference. Perhaps there might be another electrical adapter which fixes this, but all three of my pods and adapters are affected. As far as the hissing noise, electric interference has an impact. You could also turn down the mike sensitivity. This worked for me.

  5. OK, thanks. I was aware that I need an interface to record with the Pocket Pod and I use a couple of different ones....IRig and M-Audio. As far as the Vyzex Editor and librarian program, is this something I can download and if so, is there a cost? Thanks for your help.
  6. Hello all, I have a Pocket Pod and I love it. Recently I connected the Pod to my Windows 7 PC via its USB port. The Pod is indeed recognized in my "Device Manager" but does not show up in any recording programs such as Audacity, Mixcraft, etc, nor in the "Explorer" window. My question is: what is the USB-Pod connection used for? Can I record directly from the Pod to the computer via the USB connection? If not (which is what I assume, since I've always used an interface with it), what is the purpose of the USB connection? Thanks for your help.
  7. Hello all, I need a replacement for the battery compartment door for my Pocket Pod. Does anyone know where I can get one of these? Thanks for your help.
  8. Thanks, I discovered that yesterday by reading this forum. Didn't know that. I wanted to use it to record music on the PC. HOWEVER, I did hook it up to my M-Audio Interface and I'm back in the driver's seat. Thanks again,
  9. Hello all, my first post here. I just purchased a Pocket Pod, used. I'm having a lot of problems with it. Sometimes the sound is clear using earphones and sometimes it's all messed up....static, hissing, terrible noises. Sometimes it works well, other times it's really bad. In addition, I connected it to my Windows 7 PC via USB, which recognizes the Pocket Pod. However, when I attempt to record with it, the computer does not receive any sound. I don't see it listed anywhere in my "Sound Configuration". I'm using Mixcraft to record and the Pocket Pod is listed under "Midi" and not as a normal sound input device. But it's not a Midi unit, right? Do I have to install any software to get it to work on the computer (I tried 2 different computers)? I installed "Line 6 Monkey", but it asks what device I want to configure and the Pocket Pod is not shown on the long list of Line 6 devices. So how do I configure "Monkey" for the Pocket Pod? Do I need this software for the computer to fully recognize the Pod so I can record? Sorry guys, but I'm lost here. I could really use some help. Thanks, Gene
