  1. Line 6 is just completely ignoring this issue. Still no response and not a single confirmed working amplifier.
  2. I'm wondering if anyone has come up with any real solutions to this issue. I am still appalled at the response from Line 6, which was basically "Too bad, we don't care that we falsely advertised and used crappy cheap components instead of proper ones." I have yet to see the mythical list of amplifiers that they supposedly tested.
  3. Yes. A month ago. I have been going back and forth with them. They suggested that the 11K resistor will work (which it didn't). Today, I got the canned response that is now posted in the knowledgebase (... does not guarantee compatibility ...) I have yet to see anyone post about a working amp. Line 6 says they tested "many popular amps and heads" but does not say which ones they tested. Mesa, Orange, and others have been mentioned here on the forum as not working.
  4. Does anyone know how/where to get something like that produced? I'm trying to see what it will take, since Line 6 does not seem interested in making the Helix function properly.
  5. Very possibly the solution. Line 6 should have used relays to begin with. I am quite disappointed that they cheaped out on such an expensive device. Line 6 should mass-produce these adapters and offer them for free to everyone that purchased the Helix. Otherwise, they are falsely advertising the amp switching feature. They are backpedalling now by saying that there is no guarantee, but it could have all been solved by another couple dollars in parts.
  6. That is exactly what I did with mine, and it fails as described above.
  7. The resistor did not work for me. It does successfully prevent the channel from always being switched to channel 2 initially and does allow you to change from channel 1 to channel 2. However, once you change to channel 2, it will not change back.
  8. It has been shown that if you swap the tip and ring, that the channel switch works properly. So, this is clearly an issue with the Helix, where the tip switching does not work properly, but the ring does. Can we please get an update from Line 6 regarding this?
  9. I ordered on 9/30 from Sweetwater. It shipped on 10/8, arriving on 10/9.
  10. The Mesa is definitely latching. It has been tested by several people, including me. If you short to the sleeve, the channel changes. If you let go, it changes back. Something within the Helix (software or hardware unknown) is shorting the tip to the sleeve. Note that the EQ switching does work properly from the Helix. It is just the channel changing that is not working.
  11. I, too, have this issue with my Mark V 25. I specifically got the Helix because it supported the amp switching. I really don't see what the issue could be, as the Mesa amps are a very simple short-to-sleeve switch. Can someone from Line 6 describe exactly how the remote switching port operates? I am willing to wait for a fix, but if this drags out for months and then we find out that it is unfixable, can Line 6 confirm that they will offer full refunds?
  12. My original estimate from my order with Sweetwater on 9/30 was "sometime in November." It actually shipped 10/8, and arrived 10/9.
