  1. Hi Everyone, I'm a guitarist and bought my Helix years ago for that, but have been playing bass in a cover band for a few years now also. The band has added a female singer, and as a result have obviously added a lot of female pop songs to the repertoire. Some of the songs have synth bass sounds, which I'd like to emulate through the Helix. Examples of the songs are: Express Yourself (Madonna), Flashdance, I've Had The Time of My Life, Knock on Wood (Amy Stewart), Venus (Bananarama), Walk Like an Egytian, Shake It Off (Taylor Swift) I don't have the skills or time to delve into programming patches. Haven't had any luck sourcing patches from any of the gurus who make them. I bought a pack from Chad Carrouthers without having heard all of the patches, and none of them really suit. Just wondering if anyone knows of any other guys who might have made patches to suit this kind of rep, or places that might help? Many thanks for any help you can offer.
  2. I saw The Doobie Brothers a few years ago here in Adelaide, Australia, and was front row. Lead guitarist John McFee was using a Helix and sounded fantastic. Check this out from 16:30. https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/26003-rig-rundown-the-doobie-brothers
