  1. OK. I gotcha now. I have achieved all that I can achieve out of the UX2 now, which I am happy with. as long as I can get two tracks going independently, I think i can get some good sounds. thanks guys!
  2. OK, i just figured out how to set up protools to recognize 2 inputs!. i now have two independent lines at the same time. Now, is it really possibly to use all 8 outputs for 8 channels? if so, how? haha
  3. 8 tracks? seriously? so ur saying i could hook 8 mic's to my drum kit and have each mic going to its on channel in pro tools? if so thats great, but i dont think you can. I know you have to tell Pro tools what input to use, but when i go to select, the drop down just gives me 1 opetion, Send1. thats it. how to I fix this.
  4. Need some help here. I just upgraded from a UX1 to a UX2 under the assumption I was going to be able to record on two separate tracks at the same time in Pro tools. I figured out how to get two mic's goin, or a mic and guitar, but pro tools is only recognizing send 1 as the only option for a source. I was wanting to record live drums with two mics, one in its own track for the kick drum mic, and another in its separate track for an overhead of the kit. Please tell me this is possible and im just not doing something right. Or, is the UX2 not TRULY a 2 channel interface, in that it just sends two mics into 1 channel. I hope thats not the case.
  5. Someone help me out. I am running a toneport UX2 and two behrigner truth monitors. ive got those running out of the L and R analog outputs of my UX2. I just ordered the behrigner C5a (grot box) monitor (only 1) and will soon have 3 monitors. I was hoping to use the SPdif digital output of the UX2 to connect the grot box as it does have a digital input. I tried tonight, to plug one of my truth monitors through the spdif (they have digital in aswell) and all i got was some hiss, and no sound. I used a standard RCA plug, tried the yellow, then a red, then a white, none worked. My question is, 1, is the spdif a legit output for such things as monitors and why wasnt it working? 2, if I was to get it going like that, is there a way to switch between outputs on the ux2 (analog or digital outs) either by way of gear box or podfarm or control panel, so that I can select which monitor setup i want to hear, because i wont want to hear my mains and my grot box at the same time. but i also dont want to be unplugging and replugging cables back and forth all the time. would be nice to just turn a knob or click something to make the change. btw im running PC windows 7.
