Hey scarr77, I own an HD Desktop, and the power cord just went kaput on me too. To say the least, I am horrible with electronics and wouldn't be able to tell the capacitor from the fuse. However, I know the problem came from within the power adapter itself because my outlet still works fine for everything else that's plugged into it. I've had my POD since May, and I put heavy use into it, pretty much at least 1-3 hours a day, and there were a couple times that the power adapter looked ready to go, and as soon as I tuned the POD on, it shut off and the green light on the power adapter turned off as well. I then unplugged the power adapter and plugged it back in and then viola, the POD worked again (this was a couple months ago). I went to use my POD today and it didn't work, I know it's the power cord. I haven't used it in a couple days, and it worked just fine the last time I used it.
