  1. I was practicing on my bass earlier today, and WHILE I WAS PLAYING, I suddenly could not hear my bass. I looked down, and the POD was rebooting....then it continued to reboot, showing the Line 6 screen, over and over again. The unit has been operating normally for a long time...until today. I have not made any updates or changes or had done anything with the unit any time recently. Both the POD and the FBV3 connected to it are already up to date with the latest firmware. I tried disconnecting/reconnecting all cables, including the power supply connection, and still experienced the problem. I then tried disconnecting all cables and turning the unit back on with nothing connected to it at all. It WORKED!!! I then reconnected cables one by one, trying to isolate what the cause is. It turns out that the connection to the FBV3 appears to be the issue. That was the only thing when connected that caused the rebooting. Is it possible that the FBV3 has failed? The display shows the firmware version when I power up the POD, so it is getting power. I would have tried swapping the FBV cable, but I don't have a spare available at the moment. Does anyone here have any insight? Based on all of the online references to POD HD devices spontaneously rebooting, this appears to be a different cause. Any input would be appreciated! Cheers Bill
  2. Hi. I too just picked up an FBV3. My intention is to have it replace my FBV Express MkII for both my POD HD desktop as well as my POD HD Pro X rack unit. I have yet to mess around with the volume/wah pedal, but there is a software update available from Line 6 for the FBV control software that now includes support for the FBV3. I just downloaded it as well as the FBV3 firmware update. Perhaps messing around with the board after downloading the updated software will help answer your question. Cheers, Bill
